2024 milestones
2024 was a landmark year for the Solana Name Service, marked by strong growth, vibrant secondary markets and increasing adoption across the ecosystem. With dozens of new integrations, steady domain registrations and standout premium sales—SNS continued solidifying its role as a vital identity layer on Solana.
SNS hit impressive volumes last year with 1.6 million USD in registration and secondary sale volume. The excitement around .sol domains led us to break through the 250K domain registration mark with a growth rate of 29% in 2024! With these stats and over 37 integrations across ecosystem partners, SNS is set up to make 2025 the best year for all holders.
Heading into the new year
2025 will be a year like no other. We have set the stage and are preparing for 10x domain name growth. You can look forward to SNS scaling, strengthening and deepening its impact across the team, community and the broader .SOL ecosystem.
The focus will be on team growth and empowerment, ensuring SNS has the talent and resources to drive innovation. Additionally, the SNS brand will evolve to improve its positioning and accessibility, ensuring a more substantial presence across the ecosystem, focusing on advancing domain functionalities and providing more resources for builders—including grants, growth opportunities and ongoing support.
